Basic Raw Chocolate Recipe
Making your own tasty and nourishing raw chocolates is so easy. Just follow our step by step guide:
(Gluten free, dairy free, sugar free, soy free)
(Makes approx. 30 chocolates or 300ml)
Ingredients:
200g raw cacao butter
50g raw cacao powder
30ml agave nectar (or to taste)
Method:
Before you get started, ensure all of your utensils are clean and dry, as water in the mixture can cause the chocolate to separate.
Cut the cacao butter into small pieces and place into a glass bowl and heat over hot water (bain marie) or melt using a dehydrator. Be sure to heat the cacao butter slowly so as to protect the nutrients.
Once melted, add in the cacao powder and agave nectar and whisk together until glossy.
Pour the mixture into your silicone mould and place in the fridge for approximately 2 hours (or in the freezer for 30 minutes).
Your chocolates can be stored in the fridge for up to two weeks or in the freezer for up to a month, if they last that long!
Relax and enjoy…
