We know most people don't think about the need for insurance when travelling within the UK but the unexpected can always happen and if you need to cancel your visit to us you could lose your deposit or even the full cost of the course.
We therefore strongly advise all our participants to arrange Personal Accident and Travel/Cancellation Insurance when booking onto one of our courses and recommend The AA Travel Insurance.
It only costs a relatively small payment to Aviva and they offer a 10% discount for arranging your cover online. This will cover you for charges up to £5,000 if you have to cancel or abandon your visit to us as long as you have booked at least two nights consecutive accommodation.
The cost includes the course/workshop fee. Accommodation and all meals during your stay are included for residential courses only. Travel to the course/workshop is not included in the price.
Special diets can be catered for, but you must inform the office of your requirements when booking your course/workshop. Participants must be over 18 years of age and all our courses are non-smoking inside the premises.
A non-refundable deposit is required for each course/workshop. This deposit is taken upon booking the course/workshop, with the remaining balance being due 28 days prior to the start of the course/workshop. If the course/workshop is booked less than 4 weeks in advance the deposit facility will not be available and the full amount will need to be paid when booking.
If you decide to reschedule from one course/workshop to another course/workshop, it will be treated as a cancellation on your part and the ‘Refund Policy’ terms and conditions herein shall apply.
If you decide to cancel the course/workshop after paying the deposit, this deposit can be transferred to another course/workshop or another person (to be used within a 12 month period of the original course/workshop booked) but cannot be refunded. A rescheduling fee of £50 will apply.
If you have made full payment, cancellations made 4 weeks or more before the course/workshop start date will receive a refund of the remaining balance of the course/workshop fee but none of the deposit will be returned. If you cancel less than four weeks before the start of the course/workshop, no refund will be given. We strongly advise you to take out your own insurance in case you have to cancel through illness or other unforeseen circumstances.

All information included in our website and publicity is correct at the time of going to press, but may be subject to change. Whilst we do not anticipate changes to the advertised course dates, we may have to cancel or postpone courses at our discretion.
The courses/workshops managed by the Raw Horizons Academy offer fixed programs which all participants are required to take part in. A program timetable is understandably subject to change at little or no notice due to weather conditions, staff availability and other circumstances which are often beyond the control of the Raw Horizons Academy.
If the course/workshop is cancelled, you may transfer your registration to another course/workshop date or receive a full refund of all monies (excluding travel costs). We suggest you take out your own insurance in case of cancellation through unforeseen circumstances and again we recommend checking out The AA Travel Insurance.
Raw Horizons Ltd shall in no event be held liable for any loss or other damages including but not limited to special, incidental, consequential, or any other damages nor can they accept liability for participant's medical or psychiatric conditions which may exist or which may arise during or subsequent to participation on one of our courses/workshops.
We reserve the right to ask participants to leave the course/workshop if their behaviour is disruptive to the running of the course/workshop or to the other participants and staff. If you withdraw from the course/workshop at any time or if you are requested to leave due to disruptive behaviour, no part of the course/workshop fee shall be refunded. In the case of our staff's decision to ask you to leave, all matters arising from a dispute are subject to English law and are subject to the jurisdiction of the English courts.

You may, however, cancel a payment made on this website within 7 days of booking a course/workshop by sending an email quoting your reference or confirmation number (you will have received this in the email receipt when booking through this site). All refunds will be credited to the payment card used to make the booking. Refunds will be made within 30 days of receipt of the written cancellation request.
