Who we are:

Raw Horizons was co-founded by Dr Claire Maguire and Andrea Maguire. With the head office in North Yorkshire, they lead a dedicated team whose aim is to deliver wellness and wellbeing programmes and consultancy.

Our story:

Established in 2009 by Dr Claire Maguire and Andrea Maguire, a step-daughter and step-mother team, Raw Horizons provided exclusive courses specialising in wellbeing coaching.

The inspiration to create Raw Horizons came after Claire was diagnosed, at the age of 37, with breast cancer. Although Claire was already practising as a wellbeing life coach, this traumatic event shattered her self-belief and core values, making her realise the importance of accepting who we are and looking after ourselves.

Claire is passionate about life coaching and the benefits that can be derived from it. With her emphasis on Wellbeing Coaching, she specialises in training and developing life coaches of exceptional quality and integrity in this rapidly growing and exciting market.

We have since developed our offering to incorporate our vast knowledge of wellness and wellbeing into products and services for the corporate domain.

Dr Claire Maguire

Claire’s career began in scientific research in top UK universities but her passion for personal development led her to become a highly renowned Wellbeing Coach and founder of Raw Horizons.

Her diverse background including science, business and wellness, together with her analytical mind, gives her a unique ability for lateral thinking, blue sky strategising and lasering directly into the inherent issues. 


Andrea Maguire

Originally from the offshore oil & gas industry, Andrea then moved into business consultancy.  She has many years of working in private enterprise, from starting her own IT business to consulting for luxury brands.

With her diverse skill set plus an eye for problem solving she builds long-term strategic relationships with clients and partners to offer them innovative solutions and outstanding customer service.

Dr Diane Brown

Diane not only trained as a Wellbeing Coach under Dr Maguire, but is also lead facilitator on the wellbeing programs for Raw Horizons Retreats. This ensures she keeps her coaching experience current and practical.

Diane’s diverse background, including her extensive experience in problem solving together with overcoming her own personal health issues, makes her an exceptional wellbeing and wellness coach.

Michael Maguire

With a background in business and many years’ experience in information technology, ecommerce and finance, Michael brings a wealth of knowledge regarding website construction and corporate financial requirements.

His passion for IT and all things 'geeky' makes him a natural choice to develop and maintain our websites. His experience also makes him ideal for managing our financial affairs.

Office Manager

Michelle Kelly

Michelle is the invaluable back-bone of our office organisation. As well as helping out with whatever's needed, she ensures all correspondence is promptly answered and that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

Her background in hospitality together with her personal interest in yoga, healthy eating and wellness, give her the perfect understanding of how to make everything just right.
