Meet Emma Little – the Service Manager for the charity, The Hut York, in the City of York.

She completed her Wellbeing Coach Training in November 2021 and loved the course, as she could put what she had learnt into practice quickly and effectively.

The Hut brings creativity and purpose to the lives of adults with mental health journeys, and/or learning disabilities, both long and short term. What makes their service different is that members leave their disabilities at the door and come in with abilities.

Following on from Emma’s coach training she was able to design a coaching programme enabling her members to grow and be motivated. Making it adaptable and easy to follow was important to build trust and focus on the holistic approach in learning and development.

Why does Emma do what she does?

It’s simple, she wants to make a difference and give everyone the opportunity to grow, to make choices and have discussions that will have a positive impact on them and those around them. Giving them a future that they can be proud of, that makes her happy and a satisfaction as a Coach and Service Manager.
