Our courses use a Zoom virtual classroom, so students can attend remotely.

Utilising blended learning with live teaching, the certified training is completed in just 4 days.

Course Dates:

This is run as a private course for your team only. As such, we have the flexibility to run the schedule either as:

  • Consecutive days (e.g., Mon-Thu or Tue-Fri), or
  • Split over days/weeks (e.g., 1 day per week for 4 weeks)

The Course Structure

Delivered via our Zoom classroom with live teaching, lively group discussion, question-and-answer sessions, and breakout rooms to implement new skills.

Plus, there is a comprehensive manual to complement the teaching, homework, and time for coaching skills practice.

  • The course is structured into distinct learning modules, as outlined below.
  • Teaching takes place over 4 days, from 9.30am to 5.30pm (UK time), with breaks.
  • Extra time will be needed in the evening to complete homework. This complements the day’s learning, so it is interesting and engaging.
  • Private organisation cohorts have a minimum of 6 students per group.

We begin by looking at how wellbeing is defined – exploring its philosophical roots and modern perspectives – to help you form a clear understanding of the work.

You’ll explore the concept of balance, clarify the distinction between wellness and wellbeing, and define your role and responsibilities as a coach.

We also look at the client’s journey, helping you understand their needs and readiness for change.

We also introduce motivational interviewing and look at the nature of procrastination and persistence, giving you the tools to help clients turn their initial insights into action.

You’ll learn to recognise the signs of stress in your clients and understand the vital role of the Vagus Nerve in promoting relaxation and nervous system regulation.

We explore Polyvagal Theory and how this affects a client’s ability to engage or shut down.

We also examine the characteristics of stress resilience and introduce practical frameworks – including embodiment techniques and reflective tools like journaling – to support emotional regulation and personal development.

You’ll explore the six stages of change, the nature of unhelpful coping patterns, and the roles of motivation, triggers, and self-sabotage. 

We clarify your professional scope of practice regarding food and nutrition, ensuring you feel confident in where your role begins and ends.

You will learn mindful approaches to eating and how to implement a “Food Relationship Coaching Plan” to help clients move away from emotional eating. Finally, we consider how to integrate movement into a client’s life in a way that supports sustainable wellbeing.

Course Founder – Dr Claire Maguire: Combining her expertise as a Health & Wellbeing Coach, Kundalini Yoga teacher, chakra dance practitioner, and meditation & breathwork trainer.

Dr Claire Maguire is a leading expert in health and wellbeing coaching, with over 15 years’ experience in the field. She’s passionate about training coaches who create real, lasting change in people’s lives.

As the founder of Raw Horizons Academy, Claire has personally trained hundreds of coaches now practising across 12 countries. Her approach is grounded in real-world experience, having led over 400 wellness retreats and worked with thousands of clients; she understands first-hand what it takes to build a meaningful career in wellbeing.

Claire’s journey began with her own health challenges, which inspired her to embrace a holistic path to healing. That lived experience shapes her deep understanding of what truly supports lasting wellbeing.
